Stage Dolls – Into the fire

If you grew up a teenager in Norway in the late 80s and early 90s, there is no way you don’t love Stage Dolls almost as much as you worship Sandra Kim.
We mean, they gave us little gems like Love don’t bother me, Sorry (is all I can say) and Hard to say Goodbye, which made a great backdrop to making out with nerdy boys with skin prone to acne while desperately pretending they were all Torstein Flakne.
Needless to say, then, we were thrilled to see Stage Dolls showing up in MGP! The song doesn’t have Love don’t bother me-qualities, perhaps, but it’s pretty decent. We love the retro glamrocky feel combined with the uh-uh-uh-oh-oh. The only thing that’s bothering us is the fact that they cut their fabulous hair and we are not teenagers anymore.
Also, we’re not sure these guys can beat Cyprus’ Minus One if they do make it to Stockholm. But we’re sure of one thing: They’ll be fun at the parties. And that’s what matters, right?
